Frequently Asked Questions and Local Restaurants

What do I need to do to book your home?

Email me your name and address.  I will complete the lease and email it back to you.  You then print it out, read and sign it, and send it back to me with the security deposit.  As soon as I receive it, I will email you to confirm the dates.  A signed copy of the lease will be emailed or mailed to you for your records.

 When is the balance due?

            The balance of the rental rate is due two weeks prior to your arrival.

 What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept money orders or personal checks.  We do not accept credit card payments.  If your rental begins within two weeks, we will only accept money orders.

 When will I receive my security deposit back?

The lease states that the security deposit will be returned within 30 days.  I typically return it in about 2 weeks, as long as there are no damages or cleaning charges.

 How many vehicles need a vehicle pass?

According to the rules and regulations of Towamensing Trails, all vehicles must have a vehicle pass.  Towamensing security will ask for the pass at the trash dumpsters or if you are stopped within the development for a traffic violation.  We cover the cost of the first vehicle pass, additional passes cost $5.00 each.

When do you need the vehicle registration form?

The vehicle registration form should be returned with the lease if all the information is available.  It MUST be returned no later than two weeks prior to your arrival in order for it to be processed.  If you do not return the registration form in enough time for the office to process it and for us to go pick it up, you will be responsible for taking your own trash home.  Any trash left on the premises will result in a deduction from your security deposit.

 Do you rent to young groups?

We do not rent to groups under the age of 25.  We do not make exceptions on this!  Our home is suited for families and mature adults only.

 Do you discount your rates?

Unless we are running a published special, we do not offer discounts on our rates.

Do you ever allow pets?

Due to severe family allergies and for the comfort of our guests and renters, we cannot allow any pets in our home.

What do I need to bring with me?

            We supply bed sheets, paper products, cleaning supplies, hand soap, and dish soap.

            All you need to bring is bath towels and personal hygiene products

Is there firewood on the premises?

Firewood is a courtesy we provide but it is not guaranteed.  We have it delivered in the beginning of the winter season.  It typically lasts all winter long.

How many cars fit in the driveway?

Our driveway fits 5 cars easily. 

What happens when it snows?

The driveway is plowed by a professional company.  If there is significant snowfall during your stay, the driver may request that cars be moved out of the driveway until he is finished.  Please be aware though that the driveway is on a slope and can be quite slippery in cold weather. The snow plow operator only plows the driveway, so please be aware there may be snow and ice on the steps and decks. We do provide shovels, rock salt, and gravel for traction. 

How far are you from the beach and pool area?

            About 1 mile.

 How far are you from ski resorts?

About 15 minutes to Big Boulder, 20 minutes to Jack Frost, and about 30 minutes to Blue Mountain and Camelback.
