FYI There are two lakes in Hickory Run State Park; one has an extensive sandy swimming area. There are several streams for fishing enthusiasts. Hickory Run is about a 10-minute drive from the Trails. Going a little further out (20 to 30 minutes), just passed Jim Thorpe; you will find the Mauch Chunk Reservoir for swimming and boating, picnics and camping. At about the same distance you have the very large Beltzville Lake. This lake also offers swimming,boating, fishing and picnicking areas. The Clubhouse and Restaurant, TLTC, the Game Room and Community Room will remain open during the construction. The children’s play areas will remain open as well as the ball field. Most importantly, there will be virtually no disruption to the vast majority of our Community. So come and enjoy !!
You will not be able to access the lake this summer for fishing, boating, or swimming. However, the sandy beach will still be open for those who want to work on their summer tan. In addition, the pool will have longer scheduled hours.
